Falconets arrive South Africa for U-20 World cup qualifier


Nigeria’s female soccer team, popularly referred to as ‘The Falconets’ on Thursday arrived in South-Africa for the 2018 FIFA U-20 World cup.
The team departed Nigeria Wednesday to play against their South African counterpart in the first leg of the final round of the qualifiers for France 2018.
The news of their arrival was confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation via its official Twitter account.
The post reads, “Our Falconets have arrived in Polokwane ahead of their clash against South Africa”
The Nigerian queens will fight it out with South-African ladies at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
The Falconet had earlier defeated their Tanzanian and Moroccan counterparts to 9-0 and 6-2 respectively to reach the final stage of the qualifiers.
